Eloise Devaney – Tutor
(MSc. Psychotherapy) is a graduate of TPI and is currently working as a DBT Therapist and Senior Social Work Practitioner for the Health Services Executive (HSE) in adult mental health in Sligo.
She has a part-time private practice in Donegal which draws from psychosynthesis, polyvagal theory, attachment theory, and psychodynamics to inform her integrative model of psychotherapy.
Her dissertation, which she is currently in the process of publishing, explored psychotherapists’ experience of working with clients’ shame. She offers workshops and presentations on shame, trauma and polyvagal theory and has over thirteen-years’ experience working with individuals, families, and children in the areas of child protection, forensics and mental health.
Outside of work, Eloise enjoys taking part in triathlons and endurance events, jumping in the Atlantic Ocean every morning and long beach walks with her husband and her dog Gili.
