Dr Iseult Twamley – Module Co-ordinator
Dr Iseult Twamley has been involved with Turning Point™ Institute since 2006, as Lecturer, Tutor and Module Co-ordinator. She has previously contributed to the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training courses at University College London and Cardiff University, and tutored at the University of Exeter Psychology degree.
Iseult is presently a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Health Service Executive – South, and her role includes psychotherapy, supervision and service development in services for severe and enduring mental illness. As an Integrative Psychotherapist she draws upon Psychodynamic (Attachment), Narrative and Cognitive Behavioural (Schema focus) traditions, with an emphasis on the development of the therapeutic relationship and facilitating the Recovery journey.
Iseult has a background in Health Psychology working with cancer, HIV and sexual trauma. In the area of Adult Mental Health she specialises in providing psychological assessment, consultation and multi-modal psychotherapeutic intervention in complex cases. She has a particular interest in Recovery perspectives in Mental Health and the contribution of Psychology and Psychotherapy to Recovery. She has presented at international conferences (IIMHL, BPS) on topics of Recovery and Community Mental Health.
